Until now, holding high loads with an ascender or jumar has not been possible due to the sharpness of the teeth of the cam. The X-Cam, featured in all Ascenders from heightec-PMITM is a completely new design of cam, which gives a considerable increase in performance over traditional sharp toothed models. By reducing the aggressiveness which the cam acts it increases the overall holding power by almost 50%.
